COVID-19 Policies

All participants of activities at our studio are expected to abide by all Government of Alberta health guidelines pertaining to the prevention of the spread of COVID-19. It is extremely important to us that we do everything within our power to stop the spread and ensure that our students and instructors feel safe participating in our activities, as is their right. For these reasons, students are expected to ask themselves the following questions prior to attending the studio:

  1. Am I experiencing any new or worsening known symptoms of Covid-19, such as cough, fever, shortness of breath, fatigue, loss of taste/smell?

  2. Have I traveled outside of the province or country in the last 14 days or been in contact with anyone who has done so?

  3. Have I had close contact with anyone who is a known or probable case of Covid-19?

If the answer to any of these questions is ‘yes’, please stay home. Failure to do so puts all of us at risk and will result in consequences up to and possibly including being barred from the studio in the future. We take this seriously and expect our students to respect the health and safety of their peers.

All attendance at our classes is recorded by date and time. In the event that we are made aware of an exposure, all those who may have been in contact with the confirmed case will be notified immediately and the appropriate steps taken to thoroughly sanitize the studio prior to reopening. If necessary, classes will move to an exclusively online format until it is deemed safe to reopen our doors.

Preventative Measures

  • Hand sanitizer will be provided at the door. Please use it before continuing into the studio.

  • Studio capacity will be reflective of current Alberta Health mandates.

Cleaning and Disinfection

  • All pole stations will be provided with a spray bottle containing isopropyl alcohol. Students are expected to spray down their poles before and after their class. Instructors will confirm that this has been done.

  • Crashmats, yoga blocks, and other equipment (if used) will be sprayed down and wiped by students before and after use.

Shared Spaces

  • Please do not arrive early to your classes. Our waiting area is small and it is difficult to maintain social distancing. Please wait in your car until 5 minutes before your class is scheduled to begin.

  • Whenever possible, please arrive at the studio pre-changed and ready to go. While our washroom will remain accessible for student use, we encourage you to make every effort to avoid needing it. The less touch points we have, the safer everyone is.

Changes to Class Formats

  • Class intensity may be modified to reduce the heavy breathing caused by exertion. Warm-ups may be shortened and/or altered to reflect this.

  • Classes will end at their scheduled time in order to allow adequate time for disinfection. Students are expected to clear the studio efficiently. If you want a photo or video of your progress, please make your instructor aware ahead of time so that you are not tempted to linger after the conclusion of your class.

Questions or Concerns?

If you have any questions that have not been addressed, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We are committed to ensuring a safe environment for our staff and students and would welcome any feedback which will allow us to improve our response plan.
